Death or Glory were led to their 4.11 point victory by a 39.20 point effort from Matt Cassel, who tore apart the New York Jets defense for 400 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 62 rushing yards. With this performance, Cassel was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 11. They also got help from a 23.55 point effort from Maurice Jones-Drew, who snuck past the Tennessee Titans defense for 66 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 27 receiving yards.
"This team always seems to find a way to win," Death or Glory coach Dan Harrison said.
Evil Monkeys were helped out in a losing cause by a 25.80 point effort from Marion Barber, who beat the Washington Redskins defense for 114 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 39 receiving yards. With this performance, Barber was the number 3 ranked running back for week 11. They also got help from a 19.00 point effort from Trent Cole, who beat the Cincinnati Bengals offense for 5 tackles and 2.0 sacked a qb.
"We had our chances but we let them slip away," Evil Monkeys coach Dave Torreano said.
Compounding the issue, Evil Monkeys could have scored 247.32 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Dave Torreano left key players like Eric Barton and his corresponding 33.00 points on the bench.
Evil Monkeys drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 9 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 11. This brings the record for Death or Glory to 9-2, and drops Evil Monkeys to a record of 9-2.
Coming up in week 12, Evil Monkeys are at the 6-5 Blue Boys, where Blue Boys are an early 34.6-point underdog, while Death or Glory are at the 1-10 Who Dey Express, where Who Dey Express are an early 5.0-point underdog.
