Perfect Storm were led to their 4.20 point victory by a 23.74 point effort from Tony Romo, who snuck past the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 176 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 7 rushing yards. With this performance, Romo was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 5. They also got help from a 19.00 point effort from the Carolina Panthers Defensive Team.
"We took them out of their game," Perfect Storm coach Brian Prescott said.
Red Devils were helped out in a losing cause by a 24.20 point effort from Larry Fitzgerald, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 52 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Fitzgerald was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 5. They also got help from a 20.20 point effort from Lee Evans, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 100 receiving yards and 1 receiving td in addition to 22 rushing yards.
"It just wasn't meant to be," Red Devils coach Brian Thorne said.
Causing further embarrassment, Red Devils could have scored 115.34 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Brian Thorne left key players like Heath Miller and his corresponding 17.00 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Perfect Storm to 3-2, and drops Red Devils to a record of 3-2.
Coming up in week 6, the 2-3 Dominators are at Perfect Storm, where Perfect Storm are an early 5.1-point favorite, while Red Devils are at the 4-1 Team MRC, where Team MRC are an early 28.8-point favorite.
